12 dragons (4 each of White, Green and Red), considered rank 0, dragons have no suit.
The tiles 1-9 of the 3 suits (Bamboos, Characters, Circles), 4 of each rank.
12 winds (3 of each wind North, South, East, West), considered rank 10, winds have no suit.
12 flowers (3 of each), considered rank 11, flowers have no suit.
To remove all the tiles to the foundation piles in sets of 12 tiles.
| • | 12 foundation piles (down left side, in groups of 4 piles North, West, East, and South) - 12 tiles are played to each pile as a set. A set consists of a flower tile, a wind tile, the tiles 9 down in order to 1 of the same suit, and a dragon. Winds, dragons, and flowers are suitless and any flower, dragon or wind can be played with the 9 tiles of the same suit. The sets of 12 tiles are built in the tableau. When a set is completed, click on the flower tile that heads the set and drag the set over to a foundation pile. |
| • | 12 tableau piles (across top right). At the start of the game, 6 tiles are dealt to each pile. Only the (bottom) available tile is face up. The bottom tile of each pile is available for play on other tableau piles or on the foundation piles. A bottom tile of a pile may be played on the bottom tile of another tableau pile if it is one rank lower than that tile (building down regardless of suit). For example, any Four can be played on any Five. Groups of tiles in sequence down in the same suit may be moved as a unit. An empty pile can be filled by any tile or legal group of tiles. |
| • | stock pile (bottom left, face down) - clicking deals one tile to each tableau pile (you can also just press the Enter key). Every tableau pile must have at least one tile in it before dealing from the stock. |
